Juliana And DJ’s Wedding At La Valencia Hotel

Oh, Juliana and DJ! What a couple! We recently had the absolute pleasure of capturing their union at the stunning La Valencia Hotel in La Jolla. From the heart-melting first look to the charming details at the reception, the celebration was filled with endless love and mesmerizing moments. But that’s not all! This wedding date (12/8/23) marked a milestone for Juliana and DJ, as it also happened to be their 16th anniversary! They met as high school sophomores at an Evanescence concert in Los Angeles thanks to a mutual friend who was also one of Juliana’s bridesmaids. And on that fateful night, they sealed their love with a kiss, marking the beginning of their incredible story!

Our morning started beautifully, capturing the bride and groom surrounded by their loved ones. As we photographed Juliana getting ready, we couldn’t help but feel the warmth and love filling the room. She looked absolutely gorgeous in her light golden wedding dress – a perfect choice to complement her beauty. So was the bridal bouquet – a work of art with the most vibrant and stunning assortment of florals! DJ, of course, was sharp as ever in his blue suit and golden tie. It was a fantastic start to an unforgettable day!

Juliana and DJ had a first look, which was a fairy tale moment that took our breaths away! The sheer love and emotion as they locked eyes for the first time was truly something out of a dream. We then explored the venue’s picturesque backdrops for the couples portraits, and it was pure magic! The golden sunlight, the crashing waves, and this deeply-in-love couple created a mesmerizing scene. Their chemistry was off the charts, and you could practically feel the love radiating from them! These two are just meant to be, and capturing their connection was an absolute joy.

Juliana and DJ’s outdoor ceremony was exquisite, with every moment infused with genuine emotion and beauty. The enchanting garden setting, adorned with lush greens and exquisite floral decor, provided the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt union. Surrounded by their loved ones, Juliana and DJ exchanged vows. Everyone was so amazing, overflowing with joy and happiness for the newlywed couple.

The reception was an absolute blast. We loved how every detail was thoughtfully curated to reflect Juliana’s and DJ’s passions and personalities. Starting with their creative and personalized seating chart and table numbers that had every TV/movie couple they adore – including Arwen and Aragon from Lord of the Rings, Leia and Han from Star Wars, Ellie and Carl from Up, and Patrick and David from Schitt’s Creek (to name a few) was mindblowing! With a Futurama theme, the wedding cake was a masterpiece and a treat for both the eyes and the taste buds. We were especially touched when they brought out a cupcake and sang Happy Birthday to Juliana’s grandma for her 80th birthday! It truly was an evening filled with love, laughter, dancing, and unforgettable memories.
