Alyssa & Dallas | La Valencia Hotel Wedding

There’s nothing quite like photographing the wedding of an old friend, and Alyssa’s was no exception! She interned at our studio in 2012 and always said that we’d be the ones to document her special day when the time came. Well, 11 years later, that time finally arrived! Alyssa and Dallas met while working at an Italian restaurant in Del Mar and bonded over their mutual love for music and dogs. But it wasn’t until a year and a half ago that they decided to take things to the next level, with a romantic proposal on a gondola ride in Venice. With an air hockey game and bubbles adding a fun twist to their La Valencia Hotel wedding, we were honored to be able to capture this special day for these lovebirds!

Alyssa And Dallas’s La Valencia Hotel Wedding

Alyssa looked stunning in her elegant wedding dress, and Dallas looked oh-so-handsome in his suit. To add to that, their big “we are about to get married” smiles lit up the room! They had an incredible first look together, and it was obvious that nothing could have prepared Dallas for that moment. He could barely balance himself and ended up sliding down the wall when he first laid eyes on Alyssa. And honestly, we get it! She looked ravishing!

This free-spirited couple was also joined by a wedding party that knew how to party! The bridesmaids and groomsmen brought so much joy and energy to the day, and it was so much fun photographing them. It was clear that they all shared a really special bond, and that’s what the wedding party photos are all about.

La Valencia Hotel was the perfect venue for Alyssa and Dallas’s outdoor ceremony! The natural beauty of the surroundings made for a spectacular backdrop, with towering palm trees, glistening water, and clear blue skies overhead. Surrounded by their loved ones and holding each other’s hands, the couple exchanged vows and sealed their union with a classic dip and kiss!

The couple knew they wanted to have fun on their wedding day, and that’s where their air hockey “first game” came in! Keeping up with their playful personalities, we also added some spontaneous fun into their romantic couples portraits with bubbles! And as the sun started to set, we let the romance of the golden hour take over and took that opportunity to capture their “just married” bliss.

Everything about Alyssa and Dallas’s reception was amazing. Picture-perfect floral arrangements, elegant table settings, and a wedding cake with adorable dog and cat topper (hello, fur baby love!). The atmosphere was sophisticated and charming, and when the music started, it was party time! Dallas wowed everyone with his impressive dance moves, sweeping Alyssa off her feet (literally!). The energy was off the charts, and we loved how the newlyweds let their hair down and partied with everyone.
