Maureen and Josh crossed paths in Austin and have been going strong for a whopping eight years. They’ve lived in different cities like Miami, San Diego, and now in LA. But the lovebirds decided to come back to San Diego to celebrate their big day because, seriously, who wouldn’t want to tie the knot in this stunning city? Their Junípero Serra Museum wedding day was such a wonderful celebration of their journey together, and documenting it was an equally fun experience for us! A fantastic location, an inspiring love story, and all the good vibes – Maureen and Josh’s special day included all the elements we need to create a picture-perfect wedding day story!
Maureen And Josh’s Junípero Serra Museum Wedding
We began the day by capturing Maureen’s getting ready photos in an Airbnb that the couple had rented to get ready, and the energy in the room was off the charts. Once all the finishing touches were done, the bride was glowing! Josh looked dapper in his wedding attire, and his infectious smile lit up the room. After a couple of solo portraits of the bride and groom, it was time for them to see each other for the first time! And as always, we were awestruck.
When Maureen and Josh locked eyes for the first time, it was pure magic! It was one of the sweetest first looks we’ve ever seen, and we’re not gonna lie, when Josh got a little emotional, we could totally feel that too! And after seeing their chemistry, we could not wait to experience the rest of their Junípero Serra Museum wedding!
Even though they had already seen each other, Josh could barely contain his excitement when he saw Maureen walking down the aisle. With the biggest smiles on their faces, the couple held each other’s hands as they said their vows and sealed their union with a kiss and cheers from their loved ones!
There were so many great things about Maureen and Josh’s wedding, but one of our favorites was that we got to spend so much time with them. We had all the time in the world for their couples portraits, and boy, did we make the most of it! Complemented by the incredible spots and backdrops the Junípero Serra Museum had to offer, Maureen and Josh’s newlywed portraits were just so lovely! Seriously. They just had to be themselves, and every shot we took turned out perfectly!
After the couple’s romantic first dance, the reception turned into a super fun outdoor dance party where everyone joined the couple to celebrate this milestone! Everyone let loose and showed off some pretty impressive dance moves. It was a perfect end to a perfect day!
