I have known Jon and Mary since before they started dating 5 years ago (they actually met at a party at MY house!). I can’t say enough wonderful things about their relationship. They have grown through all of life’s trials as we transitioned from carefree college students to real-life adults. They are loving, caring, respectful and fun – best friends and loyal partners. Pretty much the best candidates for their future roles of Husband and Wife!
Jon texted me in October saying it was time to start ring shopping and I died in excitement! We have been secretly Facebook messaging ever since, all while I was subtly getting information out of Mary about what she wanted “one day” (and stalking her Pinterest!).
When the ring was finished Jon and I figured out the best location and time for The Proposal to go down. Jon chose the beautiful Alcazar Garden in Balboa Park and we decided the morning was best to avoid the weekend crowds.
As you can see from the pictures below, everything went perfectly. One of my favorite moments was when Mary finally spotted me! Its so awesome to be able to capture these BIG life events as they truly go by in the blink of an eye. Proposals are a blast to shoot and its so cool that Jon and Mary can share this private moment with all their friends and family through the photos.
Congrats to the future Mr. and Mrs. Strauss! Let the wedding planning begin!
