Puerto Rico Destination Wedding ~ Day 2 {Textures}

It is day 2 here in Puerto Rico and it was a day full of fun!  We slept in till around 11 thanks to the killer black out curtains.  When we go up we tried to rent a car but it turns out that this weekend is a holiday in Puerto Rico.  It is their constitution signing day.  So, that means, no cars to rent anywhere.  So, after we accepted that reality we called up some photographers we had planned to meet at the Rain Forest and discuss a change of plans.  Gabriel and his wife, Sheynel were so sweet to completely change the plan and come to pick us up at our hotel, The Conrad in Condado Plaza.

They decided to take us east of Old San Juan to an area called Pinones.  When we got there David and I got so excited!  We were really wanting to go to an area that was away from the tourist to a place where the locals hang out and eat.  This was the place for sure.  It was a whole strip of little food shacks, some stores, some bars and all right along the beach.  It was incredible!  We started at a restaurant called Solell and we got to have a very traditional and popular meal here called Mofongo.  You have got to try this stuff!  It is made out of Plantains and they are fried and then they cut it up and mash it up.  I loved it.  I have to find a place that serves this back in San Diego.

After lunch we did a little photo walk.  So I wanted to share the images with you.  Check out the amazing textures we came across in a short walk.  What is your favorite?

I had to break this post into a few posts because I had so many great images I wanted to share so this is the textures post.  Look out for the scenes and us.
