Has anyone else seen this amazing venue? Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park, is one of San Diego’s secret gems. Even as a native San Diegan, I didn’t know it even existed until Renea and Kevin’s wedding day! This beautiful little chapel is tucked away by the Museum of Man and was built in 1910. It has three stories, and beautiful architecture that is so classic to Balboa Park. It was the perfect setting for their intimate wedding.
Renea and Kevin’s love filled the whole room as their family and friends joined them to celebrate this special day. I especially loved that they pulled in the African wedding tradition of jumping the broom. I had never seen this done at a wedding but I was so glad to witness it. It is so symbolic of sweeping away the old, and welcoming the new.
