France Photographers is BACK from our trip to New York, NY!
Firstly, we LOVE shooting destination weddings. Its an amazing opportunity to flex our creative muscles and shoot in a new environment. We’ve also found that traveling to shoot a wedding creates a special bond between us and our destination wedding clients. While in NYC we met up with Mike and Molly (our Martha’s Vineyard destination wedding clients from this past July) and had a long and lovely dinner at an incredible Italian restaurant with them. Its so awesome when clients become friends!
We also love shooting destination weddings because its an avenue for us to enrich ourselves personally, explore new places and bond as a team. Our trip to NYC was nothing short of magical. Sara has been to NYC many times, but it was mine and Jessica’s first trip – so we were able to do all the awesome touristy things we wanted and Sara made sure we didn’t get lost on the subway.
Our first few nights we stayed in Brooklyn so we were close to where we were shooting Mary Kate and Drew’s wedding. After the wedding, we extended our trip to a full week and moved to a hotel in Times Square for our last few days. It was AMAZING! It was the perfect last trip as a team before Baby Charlie is born. We ate amazing food, explored the city and laughed our butts off.
Our week in NYC was the perfect way to refocus as a team before the holiday craziness begins. We talked about our goals for 2015 and recharged our batteries so we can finish out another wedding season strong!
