You never need an excuse to get some photos done with your two gorgeous daughters. As a photographer, I always think it’s a good time for a photoshoot, but really, portraits like this are priceless. Plus, you will be so happy to have the photos later on in life, trust me!
This is exactly what Kayla was thinking when she booked me for her ‘Mommy and Me’ shoot with her two girls. It had been a while since she got to spend time with just her and her girls so she thought what better way to spend a girls day then getting all dolled up and running around on the sand with them in pretty dresses!
We went down to the beautiful and historic Hotel Del Coronado where the weather was a little overcast, but it didn’t keep us from having a great time, and getting some beautiful images as well. We spent the first half of the shoot in the courtyard of the hotel. I always love this area because it’s open air and the white walls just bounce all that gorgeous light everywhere. The girls ran around and played in the hallways, laughing and chasing each other around. After they changed into their second outfit we went down to the beach by the jetty and hung out on the sand and even went in the water towards the end. Brielle (the youngest) wasn’t a huge fan of the water, but Alexis couldn’t get enough of it.
If you are considering capturing you and your little ones together, we highly recommend it! Even if you decide to keep the kids where they are comfortable in your home, let us photograph what life is like right NOW. You will be so grateful to have these family photos when they are all grown and no longer can run and jump into your arms!
