Baby William was born on January 24th at 3:03 am at Grossmont Hospital. William’s parents, Camille and Seng met each other when they were 8 years old. They had been friends ever since and married when they were 31 years old. Over the course of a few years they had tried multiple times to get pregnant, which during this time they had 3 miscarriages and had five failed IVF attempts. Next thing they knew it had almost been 10 years of trying and still no baby. That’s when Camille and Seng decided to try their odds with surrogacy.
On January 15, 2015 they celebrated 11 years of marriage as well as found a match with their agency!! Happy Anniversary indeed! They were living in Malaysia and were so excited to meet Kayla over the phone for the first time! This was really happening! On May 15, 2015 little William’s embryo was transferred to Kayla, and on May 22 (Kayla’s birthday) she had the pleasure of telling Camille and Seng that her pregnancy test came back positive!!
Throughout the process the couple and Kayla stayed in constant contact, and about a month before her due date, Camille and Seng flew out to California to patiently await the birth of their baby boy. On January 24, I got the call at 2:30am that Kayla was 9 cm and it was time…William would be here any minute! Within an hour of me being there, we all welcomed little William into the world. That room was filled with so much love for him! I was so incredibly grateful to be there and share in the experience that they will never forget! Happy Birthday William!
