Chelsea said ‘Yes’!
This amazing couple met on Tinder while both vacationing in Tahoe for New Years Eve! Crazy right?! They went on their first date the next day and the rest is history. Phil contacted me after following my work for a while and said he had decided I would be his wedding photographer even before he met Chelsea!
We planned the proposal for Balboa Park after I scouted a few locations there before hand. Chelsea and Phil had a lovely and romantic dinner at The Prado and Phil secretly texted me and said they were “on their way!” Something so unique about their proposal is Phil custom made Chelsea’s ring and he also made the one of a kind ring-box out of Olive wood!
This was Chelsea’s first time to Balboa Park so she was distracted by all the beautiful scenery and she didn’t even see me! Yes!
Phil got down on one knee and Chelsea said “Yes!” She told me right before he got down on one knee she noticed Phil’s heart was racing and she thought, “something is about to happen…”
We spent a short 30 minutes taking their portraits around Balboa Park. I’ll be joining them soon in San Fransisco to do their full engagement session – I can’t wait!
Phil surprised Chelsea again by invited all of their San Diego friends for drinks to celebrate! Way to go, Phil! I can’t wait for all of the amazing memories I will get to capture for you two over your engagement and wedding journey. Congrats!!
